$ Krups XP5240 Pump Espresso Machine with Precise Tamp System

Absolutely Horrible. Run! It's 3:00 a.m., I am up half awake, my bagel is warming, I am frothing the milk, it is quiet, I mean quiet. The frother is going, and then, Boom!, the damn thing just makes this really, and I mean, really loud exploding sound, and then there is steam all over, and hot milk all over the counter, the rice cooker, the electric grill, the sink, I mean everywhere. I cannot find the tip, the milk in the stainless steel frother is hot, I am pissed off. I mean, I look forward to my awesome expresso every single morning. It's my thing. I love the frothed milk, just floating over the coffee. But not this morning. It blew up. Just like that. I mean, I had read the other reviews and said, of course, that's not going to happen to me. I was careful with the three plastic hooks. I was loving. I would clean the tip every time. I made sure it sat well on the o-ring. I was really, really careful with it. And it STILL blew up. What an absolute piece of garbage. I had no clue a reputable, or apparently reputable company like Krups, would manufacture trash like this. Don't they test these? I have only had mine for 2 weeks. I have another DeLonghi that cost me half as much and that has worked without a single glitch for 2 years. Needing the DeLonghi for my sailboat, I bought the Krups. How I regret that. Wow! I now have to figure out what to do. But, for what is worth, never, ever, ever, will I buy or recommend Krups. And the issue is not that they manufactured trash. Mistakes are a part of life. The issue is that I have yet to see one review where Krups made good, for good, on the defect. No recall, nothing. What a joke.

Don't do it. Just don't. Or do it, thinking you are different, and then, like me, write one of these.
