$ My Fitness Coach

Been working on it for over a month now, and I love it. I think it is a great product for those who want a whole body workout, with plently of variety. I don't think I would recommend it for either beginners or people who are already in great shape. It is more for the average person out there who can easily climb a few flights of stairs, but could also stand to loose 15 lbs.



I was looking for a good workout to loose the baby weight after having my daughter and this is helping tons. Doing 30 mins a day 5 days a week for a month now I have noticed some trimming in my waist line. Some say it is repetative, but I think it has a lot more vareity than any of the DVD's I have tried in the past. Only thing I don't like is she expects the equipment to magically appear and disappear in front of you. While that is not a problem during srength training when you can see it coming up during rests, it becomes a problem during cardio when you are suppose to be moving from one exercise into the next.

I used to have this video/exercise game when it was out for playstation 2 and did it for years, until I wore the thing out. Wanting another workout option - I purchased this one now 2 years later (many years after the initial release). The graphics are horrible on this one. Maya looks like she's on drugs. She's hard to look at. The game has only changed very slightly from the PS2 version - and nothing significant if not some bad choices. There is still a message boards of fans and recommendations for the next version of this exercise game (from the previous) - people were really into it. [...] The manufacturer must have just wanted to put out a shoddy product. Overall - great workout concept and it is still a good workout - much better than videos. But I think the company that owns the license is a poorly run operation. I can't imagine this product made it out the warehouse door. RIP Yourself fitness. Maybe next release.

++ My Fitness Coach

At first I really enjoyed this program. It certainly works hard and I turned off the Wii sweaty and needing a shower.



But after a while, it gets really dull. You'd better like step, because that's what the workouts are. And it's not combos, which are what I find fun. Just 10 seconds of stepping side to side, followed by grapevine, followed by skipping, followed by kicks, and so on.



This morning I tried an Upper Body workout and was really disappointed. It was a ten minute step class followed by about 20 minutes of pushups.



I will grant that I don't have any of the equipment (ball, hand weights, step), so perhaps the workouts would be more interesting with those, and the game promised more stuff when I unlock higher levels, but it's been a few weeks and nothing's changed, so I'm dubious.



This might be a good game to have to use sometimes, but not for every day.

This is an awesome way to stay fit. I feel that this game does better than a real personal trainer. It is fit personally to the player and you can use a number of fitness gadgets that you will otherwise let build dust. To me the best feauture is that it changes your workout everytime and also depending on your answers to your question. Is a great way to stay motivated, especially beacuse, well it is a game.
